14.12.2011 BALTIC-POLISH PRESIDENTIAL SUMMIT AT VIHULA MANOR (e-News)
Vihula Manor in the Lahemaa National Park in North Estonia was last week hosting the Annual Presidential Summit of the three Baltic State Presidents, Estonian President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Latvian President, Andris Bērziņš, Lithuanian President, Dalia Grybauskaitė and the Polish State President, Bronisław Komorowski. The summit was focussed on energy policy and on finding a joint position in the current European debt crisis as well as the summit was joined by European Commission Vice President, Siim Kallas, who shared his vision for the Rail Baltica project, a continuous high speed rail link from Tallinn to Warsaw.
The team at Vihula Manor managed together with the Protocol Department of the Estonian Presidency to create perfect conditions for the important meeting. The presidents and their entourages had a gala dinner at Restaurant La Boheme and there was also time for a small presentation of the remarkable renovation project at Vihula Manor. The management of Vihula Manor presented an invitation to the Estonian President, Toomas Hendrik Ilves, to inaugurate the Grand Completion Party at Vihula Manor, which will take place after the completion of the 4-year renovation project next year. With both the Summit of the 3 Baltic Prime Ministers, the Baltic-Polish Presidential Summit and several other top level conferences and meetings taking place this year, Vihula Manor has certainly gained a very strong reputation in the whole Baltic Sea region for being the perfect venue for top level conferences and meetings.
