Did you know that Estonia is the first organic country in the world? Lonely Planet ranked Estonia as the number one best value destination of 2016. Organic is a clean way of living and thinking, caring for nature and people, paying attention to the balance of the environment. It is an attitude to give the next generation the same goods we are consuming.
Estonia is a small country that has various smart IT solutions like e-state, e-Residency and startup culture. On the other side, Estonia has untouched nature, fresh air, forests and clean, raw materials close at hand.
Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa is a perfect place to experience all the features of the organic country. 51% of Estonia is covered with organic forest and 16% with organic agricultural land. Vihula Manor is located in the Lahemaa National Park that is one of Europe’s most important forest conservation areas. The slow-moving Mustoja River snakes around the manor park with its majestic trees and luscious greenery, before gradually broadening into a lily-covered pond with miniature islands and lovely wooden bridges. Fresh and local produce
The food in Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa and in Vihula Manor Restaurant is made from local and fresh ingredients. We have our own herb garden and apple trees, also good connections with neighbors who provide their local produce. These fresh and raw materials are also used to make products such as face and body scrubs for eco-SPA.
Vihula Manor eco-SPA is a boutique spa located in the historical Carriage House with a marvelous view of the peaceful Manor park and river. The building is heated by geothermal energy, which is a nature-friendly way of warming up the rooms. The spa products are 100% eco-friendly, the home-made creams and mixtures are always fresh and unique. In addition to that, after treatments, we offer different herbal teas that are made from local herbs grown in our own garden.
Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa uses green energy. This means that the hotel uses the energy produced 100% from renewable sources like wind and hydro energy. In Estonia, the biggest part of renewable energy comes from wind energy. Using Green Energy preserves Estonia’s environment. Moreover, Vihula Manor has its own solar panels. Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa has also joined Green Key, an eco-label awarded to us for our efforts in protecting the environment and nature as part of our daily operations.
As you can see, the word „organic“ has a big meaning in Estonia and also at Vihula Manor Country Club & Spa. You are more than welcome to come and visit us to enjoy this pure and organic nature with us.
